What does Lean Success look like? Part 2: Market Disruption

Yesterday, I talked about the impact of a successful lean journey on the people in your company. A greater sense of ownership, and a better compensated and more versatile team.
Today, I want to touch on the one goal of a lean journey.....market disruption. You can consider your efforts a success when your competitors and customers are shaking their head and saying "how the heck did they do THAT." "THAT" may be extremely fast delivery times, incredibly fast answers to customer questions, or unbelievably fast new product development. Market disruption occurs when every process in your company is faster than everyone else because everyone in your company is looking for the 8 wastes using the lean tools and removing them. When you are shipping, invoicing, buying, manufacturing, etc, etc faster, you are on the road to success.
